And why would you want to take personal responsibility? I witnessed the most unbelievable segment on the Today Show afternoon show today (3/11/08). Hoda and Ann were trying to out wit Dr. Laura. It was quite remarkable and somewhat comical to watch (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23575221/). We live in a day and age when people do not want to take personal responsibility for their circumstances, choices, and resulting consequences. Read "As a Man Thinketh" by James Allen. It becomes clear that we each create our circumstances by our thoughts and resulting actions. Whether it be that our husband cheats, our health is suffering, or we are experiencing success beyond our wildest dreams. To quote James Allen:
"Mind is the Master power that moulds and makes,
And Man is Mind, and evermore he takes
The tool of Thought, and shaping what he
wills,
Brings forth a thousand joys, a thousand
ills:--
He thinks in secret, and it comes to pass:
Environment is but his looking-glass"
Accepting 100% responsibility for everything in our lives is liberating, empowering, and freeing. When I realized that I was responsible for EVERYTHING, I didn't feel guilty or shameful, I felt empowered! Try it.
Do you want something different in your life? Change your thinking, now.

Hi Kim and Pal,
Great to join in the blogging world with you. Hopefully, we can do a better job of keeping up with everyone. Jesse does really good at keeping us all up to date on their family. Good luck with everything you've got going on!
Love you, Jeff and Leslie
A stimulating and thought provoking little book "As a Man Thinketh", so many do not know that the power to change lies within us all. There are two ways our thoughts can be driven, either by the ego or by the Holy Spirit. Most of our lives are empowered by the ego , its desires, its judgments, its need to be right, etc. However, our egos are not really who we are, we are actually spirit and when the ego is held at bay and a person relies on the Holy Spirit to direct the mind, great and wonderful changes occur.
It's an arduous challenge to change our thinking and will take a lifetime because there is always something that we will have to think differently about, act in a different way and the continuous experience of learning never stops, nor will it ever - that is eternal life. Always on the incredible quest of perfecting our spirit.
Self evaluation, reflection and compassion for one's self is how we measure how far we have come, what needs to be forgiven and where we can release old fears, guilt and the like, in circumstances that have burdened us for years and are really unneccessary to be carrying around any more. Each beautiful new day allows us to be free and faithful and hopeful for continuing this journey on earth with a fresh out-look , a positive attitude and a knowledge that we are all part of this magnificent Spirit that loves, loves, loves us.
I am delighted that you and Jeff have come on line. I certainly have always enjoyed and appreciated who you are and what you stand for. You are a beautiful gem and I love you.
